When my van sits for more than 8 hours it dont want to start, once I get it started either by jumping it or hooking up a quick charge to the battery it starts fine. Is it the battery or the ignition coil, I did a computer diagnostics on it and it said the brain was going bad and ignition coil or module (not sure which one they said). Please help! Its my only car and I dont have much money really to spend. Thanks

If there is something wrong with the battery, there is no testing done until a new or properly charged battery is put in it. After replacement, the starting, charging system, and electrical system in the off position must be checked. If a battery is bad, your van can not be properly tested. Start with a new battery.
The powertrain control module requires a good battery to operate the recharging of the battery. Good luck.
