My van was recently inspected, brought it home and smoke was billowing from the wheel wells, I got out and they were on fire, could my brake components b totally destroyed? Calipers, pads, rotors...

Don't worry dept of transportation and BBB was contacted.

Thanks

If they were on fire, as a safety measure, I would replace everything where the fire occurred. What wheel or wheels did this happen to?

Both of my front brakes were on fire, if I had driven more it could have spread to the tires themselves.

I cannot touch the van at this time as Vehicle Compliance is supposed to come and inspect damages.

I can't even think of anything they could have done to cause both to burn. Honestly, I would replace everything including the rubber brake hoses that go to the calipers.

Let me know what they say.
