How do you know if your started is going out? Last week this started where it would take 3 or 4 tries to start and would finally start, then yesterday nothing. I have changed the starter fuse today, and the battery cables 3 years ago along with the battery. Had the battery checked out and still is good.
How do I know if it is the cables or the starter?

If the starter is going out the vehicle will not crank or crank slowly or just sit there and click.

Best way to have it tested is take to the shop.

Thank you, It actually doesn't click, it just does nothing. As soon as I can find a way to get it to a shop I am hoping to get it looked at.

You could have a bad starter or starter solenoid.

But since it does it on and off, I would suspect that it may be the igntion switch that may be faling you.
