Car stopped while driving on freeway this morning and now will not start While travelling at a speed of 65 car lost power/speed and pressing on accelerator did nothing. The oil light came on, but vehicle has oil and viscosity appeared ok. Note. My airbag light has been on for several months. Could that have any connection to vehicle not starting. When I turn the key it does nothing and makes no sound.

Dont think the airbag has anything to do with it, if its not making a sound when you turn the key, then you have some kind of connection problem, or the battery is dead, check the terminals on the battery and connections from the battery to the alternator to the starter, starter relay may play a part here too. If this car has an alarm/immobilizer then that could be the problem too, if not then disregaurd, . And the starting may not have anything to do with, why it shut down while you were driving it.
