1994 Dodge Caravan Oil Pressure

Whenever my 1994 Grand Caravan idles, the oil pressure gauge drops and the check gauges light comes on. What could be causing this low oil pressure? If it is a bad oil pump, how difficult would it be to replace?

You need to actually check the oil pressure with a mechanical gauge if normal replace the oil pressure sending unit abnormal could mean oil pump and engine bearings-
