1994 Dodge Caravan 94 Caravan wont start

Code 12 means the ignition switch was turned off. Code 55 means that's the end of the message. These are normal.

What is the symptom? Does the engine crank but does not run? Is there just one loud clunk when you turn the ignition switch to crank, but the engine doesn't turn? Is there no loud clunk, just a light click from some of the relays under the hood?
