1993 Dodge Caravan 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic

The cable to my hood broke on the inside of the hood. How can I get it open from the outside?

Hello
Thanks for the donation.

If the cable broke at the pull under the dash and it is still sticking out of the casing, behind the pull, you should be able to grab the end of the cable with a pair of plyers and give it a pull so the cable will open the hood. If it broke somewhere between the pull inside the car and the latch under the hood, best thing to do is get under the front of the car and reach up for the cable. You can release it that way by pulling on the cable. If you can't reach it from underneath, you will have to fish the cable out through the grille with a wire hanger or some other durable skinny object that can be bent into a hook shape.

Hope this helps..
