Steering problem
1993 Dodge Caravan Automatic

Trying to replace drive belt, the tension pulley will not move, even with leverage and brut strength. Can I lubricate the area? Help! I have been working on this project for two days. Thank you.

hi, sorry your having so much trouble, is this a 3.3L, there is a tool designed just for this job, and most had a square drive hole for a half inch bar to use for releasing it, taking belt off and slipping new one on, the only other thing is to remove the idler pulley nut from behind, and then unbiolting and replascing the tensioner. It needs a pretty long bar inserted on it, so thats why the special tool.
