Transmission problem
1991 Dodge Caravan 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic

When I try to o forward, its like its locked up or somehing, will go , but its in a bind , and starts makin a weird whirring from the under the hood,
in reverse, nothin at all wrong, in neutral, rolling forward, nothing wrong, but it stated to shake violently this last time I tested drive, like the tranny came out.
Also noticed, the passenger side wheel has been rubbing the bottom of the strut mount, and its clearance is about 1/2 the clearence of the other side. Also the past few weeks, its been not shifting right after it gets warm, I planned on changing the fluid, but now I feel it may be more to it. It would change around 2500-3000rpm before now it gets up over 4000 before changing, but only after it gets warm.

It sounds like the ball joints are really bad on the front and allowing the tires to rub when you go forward. As far as the delayed shift, have the shift solenoid checked.

The front tire should not touch the strut. It could be so bad that the axle is not able to turn the wheel.
