The alternator is not charging the battery. The computer keeps reporting a problem with the alternator, but the alternator has been replaced 3 times.
Is it possible there's a fault in the computer so it's not sending the proper voltage to the alternator?

Yes its sounds like it is a problem with the computer because the voltage regulator is in the computer and is not in the alternator. I hate to say it but you need a new computer because of a dumb design. Good luck!

Is there a history of computer issues with this model? If it's not the computer, could there be a short in the wiring somewhere? If so, where?
