1988 Dodge Caravan Cranks over no fire from coil

It will crank over getting no fire from the coil n we have changed it with a used 1 and its getting gas wonderin if its the coil or crank sending unit where is the crank sending unit?

Don't have one system it is run by a Single Module Engine Controler. Pulling trouble codes would help but I doubt you could find the tester. SMEC is a big box type thing on left fender well up front.
See if power is to positive side coil if good put test light to neg side crank (probe on coil clip on ground) does it flash?
