Electrical problem
1985 Dodge Caravan 4 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic

Battery is charged, coil has been replaced, coil to distributor wire has been replaced, started relay has been replaced, ignition switch has been replaced, alternator tested okay. Any ideas on what lse could be causing the problem?

Hi:
I need some basic info. Is the starter working to crank the engine? If so, have you checked for spark and fuel to the engine? Also, let me know if this is the Mitsubishi engine or the American 4 cylender.

Yes, the starter is working to crank the engine, fuel is good but no spark from coil to distributor. It is a Mitsubishi 2.6 cylinder

Are you getting power to the coil? Also, remove the distributor cap and make sure the rotor button turns when the engine is cranked.

Power is going to the coil, however no power is coming out of coil wire to distributor when grounded. Coil is brand new. Also, distributor does rotate when engine is cranked. There is also power on the positive and negative terminals of the coil when ignition is on.
