2007 Dodge Caliber New alternator in Caliber not charging c

1st alternator went bad. the bearings in it went bad.
replaced with brand new alternator. alternator is only sending 11.9 volts instead of the needed amount of 14. and higher voltage.

What do I need to check or replace?

The car has a brand new alternator and a brand new battery in it.
