2007 Dodge Caliber Car will not shift out of Park

my car will not currently shift out of park. I am able to put it in gear using my override, but what can I do in the mean time to shift so I do not have to use the override?

It must be repaired using a computer to test it, then whatever is not working must be replaced. K?
