I just got my car and i noticed that when i start my car it does not kick over right away i have to hold it till it starts. but, i noticed that when i stop at a light or something then oil pressure drops pretty low but the light does not come on.. then when i stop on the gas the oil pressure goes back up to normal. Do you have any idea what could be causeing this?

Hi:
Chances are the oil sending unit is bad. As long as it has at least 10 PSI, you should be ok. If you want to replace the sending unit, it's located above the oil filter. It's a cheap part and only requires a wrench to remove and unplug the wire to it. That is where I would start.

Let me know what you find or if you have other questions.
