1999 Dodge Avenger Brake light/fuel light

When i start the car both the Fuel light and brake light stay on. If i accelerate, the fuel light goes away and stays away until i let off the gas, but the brake light will not go away.

Hi:
When the fuel light comes on, does the fuel gauge drop? Also, make sure the brake fluid is full and the e-brake lever / pedal is the entire way off and not sticking.

Finally, you can try resetting the BCM by disconnecting the battery for 5 or 6 minutes and reconnecting. That may help. Keep in mind, you will lose time and radio presets.
