1999 Dodge Avenger Blinker Problems

We dropped a case of pop onto the blinker arm and now the left blinker will not shut off and can not change it at all with the arm, what needs to be done to rectify this problem?

I am guessing that your plastic cam that should automatically turn off the turn signal is broken inside your multi-function switch. I have yet to find just the plastic cam replacement. But there are many Avenger/Sebring in the wrecking yard. You can probably get the entire multi switch for reasonable amount.
