1998 Dodge Avenger 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic

I changed the timing belt, the pin in the cam gear sheared off and lost the timing, do you think that I have bent the valves? is this engine a zero clearance engine

The 2.5L is an interference engine. If you lose the timing while driving, chances are that you will have a couple of bent valves.
