Noises problem
1998 Dodge Avenger 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic 184k miles
I am having a "whining" problem that is usually only heard at about 2000 rpm's i believe it to be the Power steering pump, and i have replaced it with a new one. The noise now is louder and more noticeable, however i have oiled the pump and the noise will go away for about 5 minutes. are these cars known to have power steering pump problems, and what would be a good way to find the actual source of the noise?
