1998 Dodge Avenger 6 cyl

i recently purchased a 1998 dodge avenger a have driven it for a little longer than a month. i parked it one night after going to the store and didnt drive it for a few days because of snow. i went out to start it and it wont turn crank. it turns over, all my lights in my gage lights works when i start it so i dont think its my battery. what could it be?

Cranking and turning over are the same thing. Does it or doesn't it? If there's one loud clunk but the engine doesn't spin, worn contacts in the starter motor solenoid are common. Rapid clicking is a sign of a weak battery or dirty battery cables.
