Transmission problem
1997 Dodge Avenger 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive Manual

As soon as I start my car there is a really bad chattering that comes from my transmission! If I depress the clutch and hit the brakes the noise stops. But just as soon as I let it go the noise comes right back. I just had my clutch replaced not more than three weeks ago, and have driven it no more than 10 miles. I had someone else do it for me because I didn't have the time. And boy do I regret it. Also when I shift gears it grinds unless I let the motoe idle down to a 1000 RPM's. I took my mechanics stethoscope and pin pointed that the noise is where the transmission and motor come togeher. I want to say it's my flywheel but I want to know why it would be doing that right after being replaced.

I think your clutch cover bolts to flywheel are coming loose. When you deprees clutch the diaphram holds cover tight and it can't rattle.
