I just bought a used dodge avenger and everything is alright but when the weather is too cold when I step on the accelerator the car doesnt go. I plug in the block heater overnight and it starts ok but after driving to work and parking it for several hours in the cold, the problem happens again. whats wrong?

Has the engine set the check engine light? Also, it sounds like it could be the throttle position sensor, but you need to have the computer scanned to be sure. I recmmend having it scanned at a nationally recognized parts store to see it any in memory. Most stores will do this for free.

Let me know what you find.
