1996 Dodge Avenger NO Spark

Hi compmech. Welcome to the forum. Have you checked for fuel pressure? You should hear the pump run for one second right after turning the ignition switch to "run". It will not run again until the Engine Computer sees engine rotation, (cranking or running). If it doesn't run at the same time that you don't have spark, you were correct to suspect the cam and crank sensors. Both systems are powered through the automatic shutdown (ASD) relay. To determine if the relay is turning on, measure the voltage on the coil wire. I don't have a service manual handy, but on most cars that is the dark green / white stripe wire. It should have battery voltage for that first second, and again during cranking. If it is missing, pop the cover off the ASD relay, reinstall it in the socket, and watch to see if the contact flips when a helper cranks the engine.

Aside from the stuff i mentioned there is full voltage at the distributer.
as far as the ASD I cannot locate it. the manual says its in the Power Distribution Center but I can't find it.

The Power Distribution Center is a fancy name for the fuse box. Another place you can check is either of the small wires on the back of the alternator. Along with the ignition coil and fuel pump, those wires get their voltage from the ASD relay. The voltage should appear during engine cranking.
