1989 Dodge Aries 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic

I have a 89 Dodge aries, 4 cyl, front wheel drive, with an automatic transmission. I need to know how to fix my oil pump, if i need to replace it, could someone give me direction on how to replace an oil pump?

*9 2.2L
Remove oil pan. Drain oil first.
Remove oil pickup screen.
Remove oil pump. Replace the pump and screen. Be careful to put the pump in correctly lined up to its drive gear( only fits one way).
Replace screen using new 'O' ring.
Replace oil pan.
Fill with oil.
Down the road. Good luck.
