My mechanic said he torqued down the center nut on the right strut with an impact and it pulled up about an inch. Now it makes a horrible clunking when I turn the wheels. What could have happened? What else could it be? He said he loosened it back up and it still does it. He says the spring is hitting something.
Thanks so much!

Hi there,

He will have to remove the strut and check that the top bearing plate has not been damaged, he should know this already.
