Do I need to plug up the solenoid plug on the drivers side of the 700r4 transmission?

I have a new 700r4 transmission no miles, no lock up kit yet, I'll install one later on. Is the solenoid plug on the driver's side just for the lock up kit? Or does it plug into something I need to know about. Never used anything other than a 4l60e, lol.

Yep, that plug is just for the lock up torque converter. You can leave it, and the transmission will shift just fine but it will not lock up in four gear like it is designed so it will run hot so I would have a cooler on it. Let us know if you need anything else.
