A/C blower stopped working?

The guy at AutoZone tried to help me determine the root of the problem he hooked up a multimeter to my resistor and stated that the resistor had no power through it, he suggested that I change out the resistor, while changing it out we noticed that the original pigtail connector had burn marks so we changed out the pigtail connector as well.

The air conditioner started working but after about 5 to 10 minutes the blower stopped working again, we assessed the resistor and the pigtail connector again and noticed the center of the connector was slightly darkened in the same spot the original connector had burned so we disconnected a temporarily.

My question is do I need to change the brand-new pigtail connector or did I catch it in time to not ruin it.

If the new connector is heated it is no good, you should change the blower motor as well and check the blower motor ground. This is what is causing the connection to overheat. Here are guides to help you and the location of the ground so you can check it out and repair the problem.
