Installing a Pertronix distributor?

Hello,

Working on installing a Pertronix distributor. Do I just connect the 2 wires and plug the sparkplug and leave the middle open on the new distributor?

Is the distributor new and did it come with instructions? We need images of the wiring and if it came with a controller are not?
