How to discharge the A/C system?

I'm trying to change my A/C clutch but i'm needing to take the compressor off. how do I discharge the A/C system so I can take it off? I tried to change it wit it still being on the car but I can't get it back on so I have to take the compressor off. please and thank you for your help.

Hello,

You will need to take your vehicle to an A/C workshop or any workshop which can safely remove all the R134A gas from your A/C system. They can then recharge your A/C system after you have completed the repair.

Once you have removed the compressor empty the compressor oil into a measuring cup. Like this you can take note on how much compressor oil you need to add after the repair. It is important to add the correct amount of oil and obviously gas (refrigerant).
