I have not been doing regular oil changes. Code p0011 came up engine light was on but not on anymore. If I change oil and if any clogging clean out will that fix the problem?

Yes an oil change is a great place to start and then clear the codes which will give the engine another chance to run free of codes. The code deals with the crankshaft and camshaft VVT.

Here are some guides to get us started.

Please let us know what happens.
