Digital instruments not working

Dash was lit but speedometer, tachometer, digital information, nothing worked. Removed battery terminals grounded them out for a few minutes replaced them car started dash lights were on then headlights and dash went out then headlights came back on but not the dash. Do you have any insight on this type of issue any help would be greatly appreciated? Thanks, Ole shade tree.

PS. Went out to start car today have power but turned the key and nothing. It displayed lock on the radio, never ending drama!

I would check the battery becasue if the system has less then operating voltage the dash will not work

If the battery is okay then I think the cluster itself is going out but to be sure let's check the power and grounds before we confirm the failure. There is also 3 fuses that run the system as well you can see which ones they are be checking the diagrams below.
