When checking the level of differential fluid in a rear axle, should the fluid be checked warm after the vehicle has been driven or should it be checked cold?

Hello,

In the diagrams down below I have included the operating specs for your vehicle's rear differential including the cold capacity and fluid type. I hope this helps.

Thanks,
Alex

To be honest, no, the images don't help. They provide info on the fluid capacity, features, specs, and parts of the rear axle, but I'm just wanting to know if the gear oil inside the differential should be at warm operating temperatue or cold ambient air temperature when checking the fluid level.

Hello again,

Actually, the lack of the instructions to say to measure it warm indicates that it should be measured cold.

Thanks,
Alex
