The engine in my car makes a rattling noise when I accelerate, but then it goes away after maybe 30 seconds. It only happens for a short time when I start the car for the first time that day and it never comes back throughout the day.

I even tried warming the car up for a few minutes and it still makes the sound.

Should I be worried? Thanks.

It sounds like it could be a rod bearing letting go or a broken piston, but to be sure can you please shoot a quick video with your phone so I can hear the noise? That way I can tell for sure what's going on. You can upload it here with your response. Also do you have a check engine light on, this guide can help you find out:

Please go over this guide and get back to us.
