Shuts off when accelerating

Idles and starts good but when you accelerate it starts missing and sputtering and shuts off.

Hello,

There could be a number of reasons for this issue.
It could be due to a dirty fuel filter that does not allow sufficient fuel to the engine, or a faulty fuel pressure regulator. A dirty throttle body or a mass air flow sensor can also create difficulties while accelerating.

The best course of action would be to take a look at each individual item and take necessary action.
Like cleaning out the throttle body and the mass air flow sensor.
Checking the fuel pressure. This vehicle should have 9-13 PSI of fuel pressure with the key on and engine off.

Also checking the spark plugs for wear and gap is a good idea.
