Nope. You could on the '95 and older vehicles with the OBD1 emissions system. Only Chrysler makes reading codes real easy. They show up in the odometer display.

Many auto parts stores will read the codes for you for free. They will often want to sell you parts but remember that fault codes never say to replace parts or that they're bad. They only indicate the circuit or system that needs further diagnosis.
