Will not start and no connection on diagnostics

My car was running bad. Wouldn't rev past 1,500 and very smokey and chugging while driving. Thought it might be fuel so changed filter and it ran but still same. Now won't start and can't get a connection on diagnostics.

Hello,

When you say wont start do you mean the engine is cranking over and not running or not cranking over? If it is not cranking over it sounds like the battery needs to be tested. here is a guide to help:

When you turn the key to the on position without cranking the engine over can you hear the fuel pump run in the tank for 5 seconds? This guide can help us fix the problem:
