Will not start and check engine light on

I go start it and it does nothing off switch everything works but wont start. Changed starters does same thing. Got a service engine light on. I let it set for 5 or 6 hours it will start. Just started doing this all at once/

Just to be clear the engine will crank but does not start but after letting it sit for 5 hours it will start? Here is a guide that will help:

If the engine does nothing when you turn the key then we have a different issue so just let me know if that is the case.

However, either way we need to find out what codes are there as that will help get us on the right track.
