About 2 weeks ago I took my car into the dealership to get my cars steering wheel lock replaced. I got it back and now my night time running lights do not switch on at all and my instrument cluster doesn’t light up when headlights are switched on ( no warning lights). I have replaced fuses for 6, 10, 15, and 23 and have also replaced the bulbs in both tail lights. My dealership thinks I should replace my whole instrument cluster for $1,000.00.

Hi my name is Dan.

If this just happened immediately after the wheel lock replacement, I would lean towards something is not plugged in fully. I would start by checking the dimmer switch and headlamp switch to the left of the steering wheel.

Remove the dash panel and make sure both connectors are fully seated. I've attached a printout of the switch removal as well as a wiring diagram for both the taillight and instrument cluster circuits.
