Hello,

Every time I have used the defroster, I get a whiff of the smoke smell that comes from the engine from the driver's side. I went to the Bierdstadt trail and while me and others were driving up there in my car, I turned on the defroster to defog the wind shield while going uphill. It worked just fine, and I left it on for maybe 5 minutes or so (the mode where the air turns on for the defroster and through the feet. Once we got to the parking lot and was just about to park and white smoke started coming out from the engine. I turned the mode off, I turned off the car, and then I opened the hood to air it out. On the way back from this hiking trip, the heater worked wonderfully as well as the A/C, however I didn't touch the defroster mode due to what happened. I don't know where to take pictures or videos to show you guys, but please feel free to give instructions! I appreciate your time and look forward to hearing back from the team! Thank you!

Hi,

White smoke is usually from a coolant leak. Did the smoke have a sweet smell to it? Also, did you check the coolant level to make sure it is full?

Take a look through this link and let me know if you are able to find anything:

Let me know.

Take care,

Joe
