Hello,

The 'rec tune up' is them recommending to do tune up on the engine. Typically, it consists of changing the spark plugs, spark plug wires, cleaning out components like the throttle body, it can also include replacing the air filter.

https://www.2carpros.com/articles/how-to-tune-up-a-car-engine

The 'system decarb' refers to a fuel system cleanup. On the decarb they will run chemicals through the engine to clean out the injectors and clean any carbon buildup, clean intake manifold. It can also clean the valves.

Keep in mind that tune up falls within the regular maintenance of a vehicle.

Please let me know if you have any questions.
Thank you.

Could you help me understand the other two that have dollar amounts on them because when I asked the guy about them, the charge you explained he specifically said that it had to do with spark plugs and wires to them being burnt. And I brought my car here because of transmission slipping again also and earlier that morning before diagnostic was completed, he told me there were some issues with transmission and he would have to order parts, but they were covered by my warranty. And it says nothing about that mind you I have had car less than two years and had it worked on three times cause transmission and I've driven since I've owned it less than 7,000 miles. I bought an extended warranty for power train, and I believe they are taking advantage of me.

My car was running so well when I tested it my friend didn't know it was on when she got in. Then I was ready to sign paperwork and the Honda dealership where I got it from told me that they had taken it to have it detailed while we did paperwork. And when it was all done a friend drove my new car home for me and the car at that point was slipping and jumping, shuddering and growling the whole way home. And then the dealership had already closed for the night. So, at 8:00 am my car was there when they opened with me upset. And I was given a renta car for next 2.5 months until the work was done on my car basically because less than two days after the first return it was taken back and had to battle with Honda to up hold their part in contract because I wasn't waiting a month to pay for it to have warranty work done on my extended warranty and got more run around tell my dad said if they didn't honor their contract we would be out front with signs until the did so this car has been a nightmare for me and still is.

So sorry to hear about the bad experience that you had with the dealership.
First of all, you need to have them take care of the transmission with your extended warranty.

As for the other repairs, it will depend on how worn the components are for the suspension. But you might want to make sure they will fix the transmission correctly before getting anything else done and spend that much money.

After the transmission is fixed. I would suggest having the car inspected at a reputable independent shop. Don't tell them about the estimate from the dealership. That way you will know if there is any type of miss-handling of issues by the first shop.

Let me know if you have any questions.
Thank you.

Well, it turned out that the service sales guys wrote the invoice before the mechanic even ran the diagnostics, and the way he set the invoice up was above and beyond misleading; since he told me most of suspension was covered.

And the manager was such a fake jerk and basically dismissed everything because I didn't have time to wait for him to finish up his boy's discussion when we got back from test drive with mechanic, which he was awesome the mechanic guy gave me details on everything he did and explained until I understood. And unknowingly told the truth which got his sales guy in another lie. So only question for us is they explained because my battery was out of my car a few that the computer has to be reeducated now does that make sense to you?

So, is the transmission going to be covered under the extended warranty?

As for the battery, when a battery gets removed from a car (for replacement or other reasons), it will typically reset the electrical components like the radio and clock. If the vehicle has memory seats the setting might be lost, etc.
It will not need to be 're educated' or reprogrammed just to have the battery out.
Unless of course there were other repairs performed.
