Hello, the car won’t start, thought the battery was dead so we jumpstart, then the car turned on we drove it. Then the next day I tried to start the car, and it won’t turn on again. Do you know that possible reason? P.s the car has been parked for 3 months before.

Hi,

Chances are the battery itself has failed and no longer is holding a charge. Here is what I recommend. Remove the battery and take it to a parts store (or jump start it and drive the vehicle to a parts store).

When there, have them load test the battery to see if it holds up. If the battery is weak, places like AutoZone will charge it and then test it for you free of charge.

Also, if you are able to drive the vehicle to the parts store, they can also check if the alternator is doing its job. However, based on your description, it sounds like the battery has failed.

Here is a link that explains how to replace a battery. Take a look through it and let me know if you have any questions.

Let me know what you find or if you have other questions.

Take care,
