Dashboard outside temperature light flashing?

On the dashboard, the temperature indicator for the outside temperature is flashing. Why is it flashing?

Hello, was the ambient temperature sensor reading around or below 32 degrees F? The outside temperature sensor will flash in some cases to warn you that the road may be icy because the temperature is low enough. I believe you can turn the right Odometer button, select alarms, and select outside temperature mode and disable it if it is bothering you.
