My vehicle has occasionally had issues with random dashboard lights coming on when starting the car. I have had the car for two years and it usually happens in the summer, but only for a few days at a time, then it is gone. The lights that turned on are the cruise control, traction control and emergency brake light.
Lately, the lights are on more than not, except instead of cruise control, it is the AT oil temperature light, the emergency brake light and the traction control light. I still cannot use cruise control with the lights on, and as I drive a lot, so it is been bugging me, but everything else about the car runs great.
I took it in and was told it was a bad valve body and needs to be replaced for $1,200.00. After the shop checked it out, the lights turned off again. I had a new mechanic check it out and they cannot recreate the problem, but are telling me they might need to replace the whole transmission because they think it is the valve body, but cannot just replace that part because of the age of the car and miles.
What on earth is going on with the car guys?

To me it sounds like you have an ABS wheel speed sensor that is going out. You must scan the ABS when the light is on. Here is a video to help you get the codes.

Please run down this guide and report back
