Dash gauges and backup lights

Every time I put her in reverse my dash gauge fuse blows.

You will have to check for a shorted wire between switch on transmission and back up lights.

http://www.luvtruck.com/PDF/Series1.pdf is a copy of the factory wiring diagram. It is not the best but it does show the wiring.

is That a refererence to the 10 panel fuse box and 3 rd fuse?

There were so many twists in those 2 wires it formed a big knot which over time shorted each other out im assuming because those wires just fell out of backup switch and were very crispy

That sounds like that would be a good place to start with the repair, fix the wiring and get back to us on what happened.

Sounds like the cars Jay Leno talks about as to why all of his get a battery shut off. I remember the LUV. Neat little truck. Drove one up from Georgia long ago.
