Aug 2024 connected OBD2 scanner from AutoZone to check 'EC' code (been on 5+ yrs), no related issues with car driving, connection np, got codes.

Mar 22, 2025 new issues arrived (dash gas gauge floating around) tried to use AutoZone OBD2 scanner, connected to cars OBD2 port, scanner does not come on.

How can I check the OBD2 port? No, I don't have a voltmeter. I saw from the web the slot on the OBD2 port to check would be the top left row, first slot or number '16' slot for power?

Is '25' the right fuse for the audio/radio on the inside fuse box?

Thanks in advance ... Ernest here in Virginia Beach, VA

It sounds like the OBD data port fuse is blown, let's check fuse#25 in the fuse panel under the dash on the left side and go over this video. Fuse #25 powers the port and the radio.

The second fuse for the radio is fuse #9 in the same panel. Pull the fuses for inspection and get back to me please.

You are welcome, was it the fuse? Please start a new thread for the P0501 code :)
