What does it mean if your ABS and stability control system are illuminated on your dash?

Hi,

If they both came on at the same time, chances are you have a wheel speed sensor that isn't working.

As far as what it means, the ABS and Stability are non-functional until the problem is resolved. It doesn't mean you will lose the brakes or anything like that.

By any chance, have you had the computer scanned to see if there are codes specific that may help me point you in the right direction? Also, do you have a scan tool that can read live data?

If you do, connect it to the vehicle and go to the wheel speed sensor/ABS section. Drive the vehicle and see if all-wheel speeds are the same. If one is off, that is where the problem is coming from.
