Damaged brake line?

I apologize yall, this is a RAV4 - not a highlander.

Yeah it does look like it you brake line ...but follow it should lead you to the wheel it good to know exactly where its going befor you get started just to be sure....but it does look like a brake line ..let us know what you find were glad to help ...good luck hope this helps

If it is determined that it is your brake line You should be able to purchase this line from the toyota dealer probably shouldnt drive the vehicle till the problem is solved ..could be dangerous since the line got pinched it might mess with the pressure insude the line could result in a brake malfunction of some sort. Thank you for your response. It leads to the back right wheel, the flexible brake hose. So this is the hard brake line?

Should I purchase 3/16 nicopp line and bend it myself to match, and replace?

If you have the flaring tool and a little experience its somtimes it cost effective .. but make sure its acually is the line you think it is i believe there's also a parking brake cable running back there also ..and somtimes rather than making your own brake like especially if its the plastic coated type it might be better to just buy one from toyota it deoends they come allready flaired and bent for the perfect fit ..I usually check with them first evan if its just to get a price quote at least...but at the same time I tend to make my own too somtimes if its more convenient and cost effective also it is your safety

Can I splice a section in to replace the damaged section with double flares?

If it were mine id probably just chang the whole thing its safer that way ...and Yes definately looks like it is the brake line the only problem is when you make your own you have to pretty much duplicate exactly what you see there so youd need to make pretty much all the same bends to match it as close as possible the longer it is the more bends that follow the contor if the car ..that said it doesn look to bad just kind of long like maybe 10 feet or so maybe more just keeping in mind that its not flat it goes up and down and sidways too on the way to the wheel ..just food for thought ..thats why somtimes you can just get it already formed from toyota depending on the cost my guess is it might be better that way not sure .. good luck

The line is pretty cheap you can get enought to do the whole length on Amazon for about 10 dollars ..keep in m8nd there are different tyos of flairs on the brake lines ..it migh take a double flare ..(lots of japanese cars have them ) or bubble flare and cup flair and the like on the end so make sure your flaring tool can make the right type that you line needs ..good luck hope this helps
