2002 Daewoo Lanos Timing chain replacement

How much should it be to replace the timing chain? What other damage could have been done? The car broke down completely and quit running; it wouldn't start again...just a whining sound.

My estimator put it at about 600. Other damages if any should be the valves which would require removing the head.
