I have a 1.5ltr are there any special tools that I need to replace the timing belt. Do I need a timing belt tension gauge. How do I tell if the belt is at right tension, because the manual is telling me that the tension is set by the coolant pump, then the auto tensioner is installed.

Hi there,

There is a special tool required to rotate the water pump (No. J42492)You turn the pump anti clockwise until the tensioner pointer is aligned with the marker on the support plate.
