Hi there,

If you do a lot of short trips, this just may be excessive condensation as the engine is not reaching normal operation temp to burn it off, if you are experiencing coolant loss, I would have the head check for a problem ASAP.

What you see is often just condensation, coolant in the oil will not just be in the cap it will start to turn the engine oil a thick coffee colour, if you have any doubts, get a head check done as this is a simple chemical test to prove exhaust gasses in the cooling system, a sure sign of a head or gasket problem, if this is the case it should be repaired ASAP.
